Martin Kippenberger Germany

‘We can understand modern art, we can’t understand modern society’. Kippenberger ironically makes a breach between the relationship of art and society. By questionning the limits of what is true and what is false, of the correct and incorrect, he uses his work and his character with self mockery and ambiguity to construct fictions that lead to confusion and reveal conflicts in the real world. The project ‘True or False? will be the opportunity to show a collection of new projects: the reconstitution of a project imagined but never made by the artist - ‘Metro Louvre’ in which will be shown a series of postcards and letters that he had with one of his students that he send to Africa for a year.
