Each week we work for the press, mainly for the ‘Nouveau Detective’ illustrating news items which, contrary to popular thought, are all real and have practically all happened days or weeks preceding the publication.
Sometimes we feel empathy for the people concerned but the idea above all is fiction, cinema, illustration and theatre. Tragedy is the medium of all forms of writing. Tragedy even constructs drama and we are the actors.
We ourselves interpret the characters and these true stories. Fiction is the legal means to confront the crime. This use of the imaginary allows us to act several times a day without being too troubled. It is also true that we sometimes find it hard to believe what we read in the papers, see on the television or presented on the Internet. |
